Displaying your CGM data on a Pebble watch is entirely optional, but many Nightscout users find that having data on their wrist is considerably more convenient than opening a web browser or even pulling out their phones to check the data. A Pebble can be added to your Nightscout rig at any time, you don’t have to make it part of the initial set up if you don’t want to. You can buy a Pebble at many stores, including Best BuyAmazon, or directly from Pebble.

There are two steps to getting the Pebble set up:

  1. Get the Nightscout watch face on your Pebble
  2. Configure it to look at your CGM Data.

Getting the Nightscout Watch Face

The Pebble watch connects to your personal phone via bluetooth. It can even be connected to the Android phone being used an uploader for the person using the rig.

After getting a Pebble watch, install the official Pebble App from the Apple App Store or Android Store. Follow the instructions from Pebble to pair your personal phone to your new smartwatch and then you can install the Nightscout watchface to display the data. There are multiple ways to install the watchface:

Super Easy method

Open the Pebble app on your personal phone, go to “Get Watchfaces” and search for Nightscout, then click the Add button. This will add the watchface to your Pebble, and you can configure it in the next step. Scroll down to the section called “Pebble Watchface Settings.”

Custom

If you would like to modify your Watchface to your own custom specifications by editing the code, you’ll need to install using developer methods. This sub-page will guide you through using the developer tools.

Pebble Watchface Settings

Once you have the Pebble App on your phone, you have to configure the watchface to connect to your website. (Click images to make them larger!)

  1. Open the Pebble app on your smartphone and slide to the Nightscout face.
  2. Tap the Settings button to open the Settings page for the watch face.
  3. Edit the string to match your Azure website, starting with https:// and appending /pebble to the end.

Second Watchface for another T1

Please set up the first user completely before moving to the second user and watchface. Go to “Get Watchfaces” and search for Nightscout Slot 2. Install the watchface and set up. Do not go back to the first users settings or it will appear that their websites are the same.

  1. If the T1D uses a pebble watch, am I correct that they would need to carry around the rig and their iphone in order for the watch to display data? Could they leave the iphone at home and the watch still work?
