Title
Can I use Nightscout with my iPhone?
Content
You can use an iPhone to view the end result (the web page,) but you <em>must</em> use an Android phone  with at least Android v3.0.0 OS and OTG capability to act as the upload device from your Dexcom.  This is the ONLY thing the Android phone does - uploads the data from the Dexcom Receiver to the cloud so that you can view the data on any web-enabled device, including iPhones, iPads, and other Mac computers. This image shows the final display on an iPhone: <a href="http://www.nightscout.info/wp-content/uploads/2014/07/photo.png"><img class="aligncenter size-medium wp-image-180" src="http://www.nightscout.info/wp-content/uploads/2014/07/photo-183x300.png" alt="iPhone Display" width="183" height="300" /></a> &nbsp; Please visit <a title="Basic Theory" href="http://www.nightscout.info/wiki/nightscout/basic-theory">this page</a> to help understand the full setup system.

    • We are slowly getting it ready, but the bottom line is that it does not make any difference what kind of phone is used as an upload device since you never use it other than as the uploader. We are a Mac only household and I have/had absolutely no issue paying $69 for a MotoG android to get myself online… as long as I don’t have to use it to run my life as I do my iPhone.
